Lyrical Jazz is a combination of ballet and jazz technique performed to softer, slower music. It is a flowing, smooth free form style of dance with the emphasis on continuous movement and fluid transitions. Lyrical Jazz uses the emotion of the song to tell a story. Ballet and or jazz training is a prerequisite to taking lyrical dance.
