Danilo Jose (DJ) de Joya began dancing in 2010, after watching his cousins dance at a year-end show. He has trained in multiple styles within hip-hop, such as hip-hop choreography, locking, popping, breaking, and even stepping outside into contemporary. DJ has trained with various teams at multiple studios throughout the Lower Mainland and currently trains with eLusive Dance Family. Heading into another year with the Panorama family, DJ is ready to continue sharing his insight and training the next generation of students at Panorama!

Since 2012, DJ has competed at many local competitions like Synergy, Peak, Dance Power, Terpsichore, Artist Emerge and the Dance World Cup. DJ has also had the privilege of dancing in many high-level international competitions including, World of Dance, Bridge NorCal, Collaboration NorCal and Fusion XVIII / XIX.

DJ is in the last year of his undergrad at Simon Fraser University’s History program. He intends to become a high school teacher, where he plans to teach Social Studies and Dance.
