Rachel began dancing at the age of 3 and never looked back! She trained in ballet completing all of her graded RAD exams and her Advanced 1 exam. Rachel trained at the Advanced 2 level as well as in jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop.
Rachel began student teaching at a young age which helped her gain confidence in teaching and choreographing, and Rachel is looking forward to using what she learned in her own classes. Rachel also began competing at the age of 8 in groups and as solos. These competitions took Rachel around the Lower Mainland and up to Whistler.
As a member of the Panorama Youth Company she had the privilege of dancing in Disneyland, in Disney World, on a cruise ship, in the 2010 Paralympic Opening Ceremonies, at the PNE, and in both Canada and Santa Claus parades.
Rachel also danced with the Royal City Youth Ballet Company for 5 years performing many roles in the Nutcracker all throughout the Lower Mainland and in Duncan. Rachel is so excited to take the next step into the role of the teacher. She hopes to inspire young dancers as her teachers have inspired her
