Heather began her ballet training at the age of 4 under the Cecchetti Method, and continued on with the Royal Academy of Dance after the age of 8, achieving her Advanced 1 exam and training at an Advanced 2 level.
Heather has been teaching Ballet and various other dance forms, including Modern, Jazz, and Tap since 2002, and has just completed the RAD’s Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies program, which grants her fully registered teacher status.
Heather spent 3 years in London, Ontario teaching, training, and performing while attending university. She had the privilege to train with Dale Yoshida, a former principal dancer with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and performed in many fashion shows and charity events throughout the London area.
She is also currently enrolled in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at UBC, as she trains to become a pharmacist. Heather has been a member of the Panorama School of Dance family since 1994 and is very happy to be back to pass on her knowledge and passion for dance to the students at Panorama.
