Teacher
Maria Mauro has been a part of the Panorama dance community since she was five years old. During that time, she trained in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Stage. She also successfully completed all her vocational examinations, including Advanced 2.
Maria was a part of Royal City Youth ballet’s “The Nutcracker” for 11 years. During these years she got the opportunity to perform across the lower mainland and Vancouver Island and work with numerous teachers and dancers. She danced many roles including being selected to perform multiple soloist roles throughout the years.
She auditioned for and participated in multiple years of Alberta Ballet’s three-week summer intensive. She also was accepted to and attended Vancouver Ballet Society’s spring seminars throughout the years. Along with these she attended many other intensives and master classes throughout the Greater Vancouver, which allowed her to work with many new choreographers and instructors from around the world.
Starting Fall 2026, Maria is attending SFU for a bachelors in Kinesiology. She looks forward to sharing her passion for dance with the upcoming generation of Panorama dancers.
