Selena is originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, and has been dancing since the age of five at Panorama School of Dance in a wide range of styles, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, pointe, tap, hip hop and stage. Throughout her training, she was also a member of the Panorama Youth Company, where she had the opportunity to perform throughout the community at elementary schools, care homes, parades, festivals, and other local events, sharing the joy of dance with audiences of all ages. She also have the privilege to travel to New York, Disney Land, and on Disney cruise ships to perform.
For over 10 years, she competed in dance competitions, earning numerous awards and valuable performance experience that helped shape her artistry, discipline, and passion for movement. Beyond performing, she has always enjoyed giving back to the dance community. During Grades 11 and 12, she coached the Sullivan Heights Secondary jazz and contemporary dance team while also serving as a peer tutor for Grade 8 and 9 dance classes, where she discovered her love for teaching, mentoring, and inspiring young dancers.
She is currently entering her third year at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. As she continues her education, she is excited to expand her artistic voice, deepen her technical training, and explore new opportunities for growth as both a performer and educator. She passionate about sharing her love of dance with others and is always eager to learn, collaborate, and continue evolving as an artist.
